2023 - jambit founders move from management to the advisory board

Peter F. Fellinger and Markus Hartinger created the groundwork for the success of the software service provider when they founded jambit in 1999. After more than 23 years, the founders say goodbye to the management and hand over their office to Franz Haßlberger and Thomas Rottach.

2022 - New office in Efurt

With the new office centrally located in Erfurt, jambit expands its individual software solution offer in the heart of Thuringia. Again, centrally located directly on the Anger close to main station and Krämerbrücke.

2021 - New office in Yerevan in Armenia

jambit goes international: Since May 2021, Armenian developers are supporting jambit's projects from various industries out of Yerevan. Once again, this jambit office is very centrally located in the city center and offers an open and communicative environment.

2020 - jambit opens subsidiary in Frankfurt

jambit expands its service offer of individual software solutions for financial companies in the Rhine-Main region.

2019 - jambit moves to Königsbau in Stuttgart

From the university area directly into the city centre: In December 2019, the Swabian jambit office moves to the prestigious Königsbau on Schlossplatz in Stuttgart. Apart from the central location, the new office offers more space and a big terrace.

2019 - New headquarters at Hirschgarten in Munich

Central location, more space, versatile compensation: The new jambit headquarters within the building complex "Kap West" in Munich offer many advantages for jambitees. The proximity to the Munich railway line enables short commute.

2018 - New office in Leipzig

Welcome to jambit in Leipzig! In the heart of the city center, jambit is opening a new development office on 280 square meters. The software developer supports exciting software projects and drives the digital transformation of our customers.

2018 - jambit officially awarded as "Great Place to Work"

Right at the first try jambit is named as one of the "Best Employers 2018" – in Germany, in the industry competition ITK and in the state of Bavaria. Thank's to the independent Great Place to Work Institute confirming our internal mood barometer of the jambitees.

2017 - 200th jambitee starts at jambit

jambit continues its growth course and welcomes the 200th jambitee in February. Low fluctuation and numerous "newbies" have allowed jambit healthy growth rates and positive long-term customer relationships in recent years. To be continued…

2017 - Opening of a new office in Stuttgart

Now, the delicious jambit-coffee can be tried in Stuttgart as well: jambit opens an own office in the Stuttgart Engineering Park (STEP)! This allows us to cooperate more closely with our customers in this region and to develop further interesting customer relationships in diverse industries.

2015 - Introduction of Business Divisions and Competence Centers

Strategic restructuring at jambit! The previously centrally managed Business Units turn into industry-oriented Business Divisions with full responsibility for revenues. They are complemented by cross-industry Competence Centers and the Backoffice.

2013 - Innovation consulting and Design, UI & UX

As part of the Competence Center New Business, jambit’s offers customers individual advice, seminars and workshops, in order to discover and exploit future-oriented fields of business. Appealing designs and high usability for a great User Experience are equally important, therefore jambit expands its portfolio with the new department Design, UI & UX.

2012 - Foundation of the affiliated company HUML

After several years of experience in the field of car connectivity, Markus Hartinger and Peter Fellinger founded an affiliated company specialized in this area. HUML establishes itself quickly as one of the world’s leading companies for smartphone integration and connectivity technologies. As member of the Car Connectivity Consortium, HUML is part of a strong, global network of innovation and software experts.

2012 - jambit breaks the 100-employees-mark

With convincing references, exciting software projects, an open company culture and cooperative teams, jambit catches Employee No. 100 on the highly competitive market for IT specialists.

2011 - Positioning at "metris"

jambit changes the residence: Bright, friendly offices with partially glazed walls and high windows, a rooftop terrace for creative breaks and relaxed barbeques, own server rooms and an excellent connection to Munich’s short- and long-distance transport network – the ideal base camp for jambit’s innovative work!

2010 - Organizational development: Business Units at jambit

The lists of customers and projects at jambit keep growing. Time for organizational changes! jambit introduces a second management level and six Business Units, which are specialized on diverse fields such as app development, cloud solutions or Development & Operations.

2008 - Apprenticeships @ jambit: Promotion of IT rookies

At jambit, the first two apprentices begin their training as IT specialists in the fields of system integration and application development. They complete their trainings successfully and get a fulltime job at jambit. Since then, jambit has trained further IT-passionate young people every year.

2008 - Pioneer work in app development

Only a few months after the launch of the first iPhone and the associated App Store by Apple, jambit develops its first iOS app for a renowned customer in the automotive industry. Shortly afterwards, the first Android app for the media industry is developed, and later on, apps for Windows Phone follow.

2007 - Agile software development with Scrum

Already since its foundation, jambit has worked according to iterative procedures. Therefore, it is no surprise that jambit is one of the first companies that introduce the Scrum method, and masters the first Scrum project for a customer of the automotive industry successfully.

2006 - Relocation to the Stiglmaierplatz

More and more renowned customers trust jambit with demanding projects, more and more top qualified employees lead them to success. Time for larger offices with appropriate infrastructure! In mid-2006, the jambit logo becomes a point of note in Munich’s Nymphenburger Straße.

2003 - Strategic management with the Balanced Scorecard

In order to reconcile the daily project work with jambit’s strategy, jambit introduces a Balanced Scorecard. Relevant KPIs in the fields of employees, customers, processes and finances are regularly collected, analyzed and used as a basis for operational and strategic decisions.

2001 - BMW becomes first major client

With BMW, jambit acquires its first worldwide renowned major client. Since then, jambit has worked continuously in cooperation with diverse departments and business segments of BMW on innovative software solutions for the automotive of the future - from apps over connectivity platforms up to augmented reality gadgets.

1999 - Foundation of the jambit Software Development & Management GmbH

On December 23rd, 1999, Markus Hartinger and Peter Fellinger found the jambit Software Development & Management GmbH fully financed from their own resources. They start with only two more employees in a small office in Munich. Now it is all about settling down in the booming New Economy!
