New Head of jambit Subsidiary Stuttgart
Dr. rer. nat. Andreas Bernauer, Senior Software Architect at jambit since April 2018, takes over the position as Head of the Subsidiary Stuttgart on January 01, 2019.
New Head of our Subsidiary in Stuttgart
Since the beginning of 2017, jambit has had its own office in Stuttgart Engineering Park (STEP)to work even more closely with customers in the region. Dr. rer. nat. Andreas Bernauer succeeds Franz Riehl as of January 2019, becoming the new Head of Subsidiary Stuttgart. With much commitment and energy, Riehl set up the subsidiary and established a 10-member development team. The team also includes Andreas Bernauer, who has been strengthening Stuttgart since April 2018 as Senior Software Architect.
Strong software experience and leadership skills
Andreas Bernauer is an experienced software architect with a demonstrated history of working in the computer software industry, creating software for different industries (automotive, virtual powerplant, chip manufacturing, and many others). He likes to learn and adopt new technologies with a penchantfor functional programming languages (Scala, Clojure, Erlang, Elixir, F#, etc.) and agile methodologies. In an early stage, during his time at University of Tübingen, he focused on Machine Learning and Computer Engineering.
“I am very happy about the new challenge and the trust placed in me. In addition to my present topics, I will focus on sustainable location development in the Stuttgart area in the future,” said Bernauer taking up the new post. For the coming weeks, he has decided to lay the strategic foundations for the expansion – to win customers as well as new software developers for the subsidiary.

The change underlines the networking with the local market. Especially with complex software projects, regional proximity is an advantage. In addition, Bernauer strengthens the team spirit.
“The further expansion of the subsidiary in Stuttgart is a very exciting topic. I am glad that we found in Andreas an experienced software expert coming from the team. He is a genuine local with trustworthy knowledge. We will undoubtedly profit from his experience,” explains CEO Peter F. Fellinger.
The preference was to occupy the position with a jambit employee to ensure continuity in the team and in the existing customer relationship. That succeeded with Andreas Bernauer’s appointment.
