jambit is one of Bavaria's Best 50
The Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs honors jambit with the award for medium-sized businesses
Among more than 8000 applicants, jambit prevails as one of the 50 fastest growing companies in Bavaria and receives the award "Bayerns Best 50" from the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs and Media, Energy and Technology. The award honors 50 owner-managed medium-sized companies in Bavaria. The prize is awarded to companies from all Bavarian administrative districts that have achieved the strongest medium- to long-term growth in sales and number of employees in recent years. Due to the pandemic, jambit received the proud porcelain lion by parcel post this year. The Bavarian heraldic animal should not be unfamiliar with our coffee bean, or the jambit coffeeright. Already in 2017, jambit accepted the award with pleasure, at that time during the award ceremony at Schleißheim Palace.
20 years of jambit and 20 years of sustainable growth
Just in time for jambit's 21st birthday, the porcelain lion reaches the more than 350 jambitees, among them the founders Peter Fellinger and Markus Hartinger. They founded jambit 21 years ago during their studies in 1999. During the peak of New Economy, they built the basis for a company that grew steadily in the following years despite economic hurdles such as the dotcom bubble or the financial crisis. A secure ownership structure, excellent and outstanding human resources policies, and the high equity ratio ensured the company's growth even during the corona pandemic.
"Peter and I are very happy about the award. Above all, we would like to thank our employees who accompanied jambit in this challenging year and always live our motto 100% enthusiasm in our customer projects. Especially during the crisis, we were able to convince our customers with reliable accessibility, a technically outstanding infrastructure, and well-coordinated remote teams and supported them in numerous digital transformation projects," says Markus Hartinger, CEO and founder of jambit GmbH.
In addition to numerous successful customer projects, which are responsible for the stable sales growth, our jambitees were again socially and sustainably engaged this year. At the end of March, jambit software developers coded at the #WirVsVirus Hackathon for the German government. At the beginning of November, jambitees supported the Munich-based association rehab republic in an after work cleanup in Munich's Hirschgarten. This year's jambit Christmas donation will again support a project suggested by jambit's employees and selected in a voting process on the intranet. The 2020 donation supports the AETAS Kinderstiftung based in Munich. The children’s foundation helps traumatized children and adolescents after a dramatic event.
Broad portfolio of software services
More than 350 employees at jambit do not only stand for 100% enthusiasm, but also shape the broad service portfolio with their methodological and technical expertise. The diverse service portfolio ranges from front-end development, back-end development and mobile app development to key areas in the Internet of Things or methodical approaches in the area of user-centered design. This enables jambit to offer project teams that are a perfect fit for any challenge. In the automotive division, customers benefit from an extended workbench that supports the entire product lifecycle, from prototype development to security issues. As a specialist for software development, jambit supports renowned automotive manufacturers such as Audi, BMW and Daimler. For example, a jambit team has been supporting BMW Motorrad since 2016 in the development of the native BMW Motorrad Connected App for iOS and Android. The Daimler sub-brand EQ is supported by jambitees in the development and provision of the service landscape for mobile charging of the battery-electric and plug-in hybrid vehicle fleet.
Networking opportunities for media companies and project successes with high-tech companies in the industry
However, solutions for automotive companies are only one component of jambit's market strategy. For example, in our business division Media we have been working with customers such as SZ.de and F.A.Z. for many years and brought media companies together for the first time at a full-day industry conference with our stei:tund conference. In November, the event attracted an enthusiastic audience of over 350 and confirmed jambit's position as an excellent service provider in the media industry. The media magazine kress pro already recognized this in spring by listing jambit as one of the most important service providers for media companies. In the area of Banking and Insurance, jambit is also on a regional growth course. This year, our new Industry & Energy division as part of New Business supported ams-OSRAM International GmbH in the development of a tool for component tracking. The world's leading high-tech company specializes in predominantly semiconductor-based products and enables applications in the field of virtual reality or for autonomous driving.
Within the company, the award will once again be celebrated at the "jupday" in January. The strategy day, which will take place completely remotely this year, serves jambit to plan the coming year collectively and, above all, sustainably in various workshops and lecture sessions.
